well...a good long weekend went by just like tt.in a breeze.haha.rushed off to clake quay after book out on wed to meet some councillors for dinner.well.was horribly late n tt place wasnt tt easy to find given limited directions.thank goodness my bus passed by in the right direction so i saw the blue signboard of the restaurant.haha.chat over dinner was good although it was only the 8 of us.great to see the 2 who came back from uk.spent the night after dinner walking around deciding wad to do(it's so us.haha)simply enjoying each others company. thurs n fri was spent with my another friend who returned from his brunei posting for holiday.haha.went wala wala after dinner at holland v.kinda weird cos topics between us(this group of bmt friends) was getting limited.mainly teasing edwin over his always-changing mind over his uni course.well my friend, follow ur heart.was just at wala wala enjoying the drinks n music plus the topic suddenly made me realise:how many of us really get to do the things we enjoy?most of us r pursuing degrees tt the society likes, which are sometimes way offf our own liking.so much for comparing the pursuit of degree to the pursuit of happiness.are we really happy with wad we are doing? as of now.i dare say i'm not really happy with wad i'm doing.sometimes it's really hard to find meaning in wad we do.i guess most of the nsfs would agree with me.one of my friends asked me,wad do u all do normally?i was at a lost for words.sometimes work tt we do do not carry any particular significance.are we really doing things just for the sake of doing?making a positive difference isnt tt easy afterall.but i wouldnt say tt ns isnt useful at all cos i picked up certain useful skills n made some good friends.perhaps 2 yrs is a bit too long for us to be fully occupied. recently came across a wrongdoing of one of my fellows.i wun really consider him as a friend cos i'm not on real good terms with him due to certain conflicts n misunderstandings.there's minimum interaction between us,which may be a better option for us.anyway.i dun really approve of wad he's doing.i noe it was done this way by our seniors but to me i dun think tt's right.it's as good as cheating.to me, it's just a desperate attempt of him to achieve his goal.but the fact is tt there're ppl helping him.bringing the matter up would only implicate those involved n disrupt the little peace between us.well..kinda in a dilemma.maybe he's not wrong afterall.shall not let this spoil my mood further.it's a long week ahead with duty on monday.bleah. |
